Sugar Beet came in cold but got hot last Tuesday — which is funny, because the first round theme was all about running, and by the time we hit the halfway point, half the room looked like they’d just finished a 5K. “Run, Forrest, Run!” lived up to its name, with dabbers flying, cards flipping, and at least one table celebrating like they’d just outrun a CGI tornado. A few players popped up in this round and again later in the night, proving that some folks don’t just run — they run the table.

Then came 1980’s Part 4, which hit the room like a neon‑soaked mixtape. Big hair, big synths, big wins. Several players who’d already tasted victory earlier in the night doubled down here, because nothing says “I’m feeling lucky” like a round full of songs that could’ve been playing in the background of a John Hughes movie.

Short Shorts Part 2 arrived next — our beloved collection of songs that are shorter than a commercial break and twice as catchy. This round always moves fast, and so did the winners. A handful of players managed to snag wins here and in earlier rounds, proving that sometimes the shortest songs create the longest bragging rights.

And then we closed with 1970’s Part 1, which turned into a denim-clad avalanche of winners. The 70s always bring out the dabber veterans, and this round was no exception. Several names from earlier rounds resurfaced yet again, including one player who managed to win multiple rounds and walk away with a gift card. That’s not luck — that’s a bingo heater.
